We want to help you!

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire, educate and empower parents through information, training and support to become informed, effective partners and advocates in planning appropriate educational, transitional and medical healthcare outcomes for their children and youth.

As a result of our assistance to parents, families, and professionals, children and youth with disabilities will lead rich, active lives and participate as full members of their schools, communities, postsecondary career choices and independent living.

                                  News from the Director!
Hello!

West Virginia Parent Training and Information are actively keeping safety and
health a priority for our staff and community throughout the current global health situation. The WVPTI staff is working remotely and no in-person activities will be conducted. We are open and will continue to use other means to provide information and guidance to the families, individuals, youth, educators, and the professionals that we serve. We are working to schedule a variety of trainings/information sessions virtually through webinar/zoom/ etc. that will be offered at various dates and times to meet the needs of our families. We will keep you posted through our website, EBlast, email, and FaceBook.

            WVPTI Wants To Help!

West Virginia Parent Training and Information is conducting a community need assessment focused on West Virginia parents and caregivers of children with special needs. The survey will help us identify the current and specific needs of families as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your responses will inform our program planning during this crisis and will foster collaborating opportunities with state and private agencies to better meet your needs.
Our goal is to obtain high-quality feedback from a diverse and wide variety of perspectives across the state.
It should only take 10 minutes or less to complete the survey.
We hope you will participate and encourage others to do so, too. Please share!
